Who We Are

The shores of Aberdare situated at Kitiri sub-location of Kitiri Location, North Kinangop Ward in Kinangop Sub- County. It is situated 10 km from ndunyu Njeru town. Our FERTILIZER MAKING PROJECT falls under this department which is mandated with formulating and executing environment conservation projects and utilization of locally available materials within the locality.

The inhabitants of the area are the Kikuyu who are the original occupiers and came up with the idea of natural resources conservancy. The area is situated along river Kitiri and is one of the areas enjoying permanent access to water from the river. The micro-catchment covers an area of 53.4 sq. km with plenty of flora

Moset youth group is a registered (Registration No.: NYASL/S/Y-693/19 under the ministry of public service, youth and gender affairs. we are currently operating in Nyandarua County. We started our endeavours in the year 2018 as welfare group and later rebranded   in the year 2019 as Moset youth group where on December 22nd we launched short term and long-term activities in various department within the larger group. We have ever since remained true to our agenda which is to see better empowered communities around us, regardless of the countless challenges along the way.

In our journey, we have been able to buy a motorbike which is income generating alongside we have graze sheep, merry go round and we are in process of buying quarter acre of land where we want to undertake this project by April this year

 The economic mainstay of the community is agro pastoralism.

The main cash crops include maize, carrots and potatoes while subsistence production involves beans, cowpeas, green grams and small scale vegetables.
